Tribute


Tribute is what is taxed. It is known as tribute to the payment or the sum of money that is granted to the government or administration for the maintenance of public expenses. The word tribute comes from the Latin “tribūtum” which means “tax, rate or contribution”, this word was formed from the verb “tribuere” which means “distribute or distribute” that in ancient times was used to designate the phrase “distribute among the tribes”. Another meaning of the word is the amount of money, which in ancient times, a vassal had to give to his master, owner or proprietor as a sign and proof of submission, subordination, respect and obedience.

Tribute is also understood as the show of admiration, recognition and respect that is shown to a person or entity in particular as a synonym of gratitude and fascination; An example of this are the tributes given to the different representations of the field, whether artistic, political, sports, among many others. Another particular use of said term, which is related to the previous one, is attributed to the benign feeling that is manifested or expressed towards any type of person.

Finally, as stated before, a tax is the monetary benefits required by the government for the contribution of public expenses, and this tax can take various forms. First, there are the taxes, which are the taxes that are delivered to the government, and are made up of businesses, acts or events that show the economic capacity of the taxpayer. Second are the rates, and this tribute is granted to the state for the demand of a service that it will provide. Third are the contributions, which is the amount of money given to the state in order to obtain collective services.
