Cation

The word cation derived from the Latin “cata- and ion” with lexical components that are the prefix “cata” which means “down” and “ion” which means “I come”. The cation is a particle that is part of common matter with chemical properties or like the molecules that make up a permanent and electrically neutral procedure. Cations are specified as a positive oxidation state that occurs when an element comes into contact with oxygen, this happens with metallic components exposed to rubbing with oxygen and water.

In the area of chemistry, a neutral atom loses one or more electrons from its original equipment, this prodigy is known as ionization, which is the chemical-physical phenomenon through which ions are made, which are atoms or molecules electrically charged due to the lack of electrons. that are identified by the symbol e-, that symbol indicates that it is a subatomic molecule with a negative elementary electrical charge with respect to a neutral atom or molecule.

The cations in biological processes, are concentrated in different cations such as “Na +, K +” among others, the cell membranes maintain various chemical potentials that are dependent on sending different organic molecules into the cells by facilitated death that is done by means of the channel proteins or by uniport proteins.

In medicine, cations are paramagnetic, which are tendencies of free magnetic moments to feed parallel to a magnetic field such as “Gadolinium”, which is a chemical component of the periodic table where its symbol is Gd and its atomic number is 64. In addition Cisplatin is used, which is a drug based on platinum and is widely used in chemotherapies for the treatment of different types of cancer due to its coordination with DNA, preventing its replication, but also preventing the development of tumor cells that are those with the highest growth rate.
